In this blog post I will talk about the 7 phases in magic the gathering. The 7 phases in magic go as follows, Untap, Upkeep, Draw, First Main Phase, Combat, Second Main Phase, Endstep.
The Untap step happens at the very beginning of your turn, this is when you untap all your lands, artifacts, and creatures.
The Upkeep Phase is next. It lets you catch any triggers that your permanents may have.
Next is the Draw step. This step lets you draw a card.
Next we have the First main Phase. This phase lets you play creatures and other things at sorcery speed.
Next we have Combat, this lets you attack with creatures.
Next we have Second Main Phase. This is the same as the first main phase.
We finally have Endstep. The endstep is when your turn is over, all that last until end of turn stop here.
- In total everything we have is on this list.
- Untap
- Upkeep
- Draw
First Main
Combat
Second Main - Endstep
